The Rotary Club of Longview celebrated its Centennial +1 on August 28, 2021 at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview, Texas. Attendees were treated to a delicious meal catered by Bear Creek Smokehouse and a beautiful cake designed and created by Edible Art. Covie Olatunde entertained guests with music before and during the celebration. Local boy scouts opened the event with the display and posting of the colors. Special guest and speaker was Dr. Eveth Marroquin, pediatric ophthalmologist and past President of the Rotary Club of Tiakl, Peten District 4250, Guatemala. Dr, Marroquin works at the hospital where District 5830 Rotarians have donated equipment and funds to upgrade the hospital facilities. Special guest and keynote speaker was Mark Maloney, Past President of Rotary International.
