Rotary Club of Longview members proudly participate in the display of over 1850 flags on six federal holidays every year. Rotarians are often assisted by their families, area high school students, local Boy Scouts and House of Disciple residents. The flags are divided into 30 routes that include residences and businesses in the Longview area. A dedicated group of Rotarians mount flags on 10' aluminum poles and place iron mounts in the ground. The flags are stored at the Longview News Journal and are loaded by teams and put in the ground mounts for the designated holiday. Teams pick up the flags after the holiday and return them for storage.
